Professor Marion Adams was Dean of the Faculty of Arts. The collection below is on loan to the University from her family. Adams 8-12 are not of classical or archaeological interest and have not been included in the Virtual Museum.

4th century Apulia, Southern Italy, painted figure pyxis. Base with Egnathian vine and fish bone motifs on base and lid (from another pyxis). with dual female adorned faces wearing sacchos. Lid attributed by ADT to the Kantharos group. Small chip and crack on lid lip.

Bowl c. 1200 AD Byzantine (from shipwreck off Turkish coast). Buff coloured bowl with an inscribed water bird surround by a vine motif on the inside of the bowl. Bowl has been clearly rejoined. Wire mount.
