Egypt Exploration Society donates 5 papyri.

Items acquired from Egypt (31 objects in Flinders Petrie Collection).

1922

Egypt Exploration Society donates a further 5 papyri.

1924-29

Jessie Webb (History) purchases over 100 Greek and Roman coins with University funds, and some reproduction sculptures.

1925-31

John Hugh Sutton Memorial Bequest. Cecil Scutt purchases 21 Greek vases, 15 bronze and ceramic artefacts, 100 Greek coins and 100 electrotype copies, display cabinets.

1949

2 coins from Tell el Mashkuta.

1956?

9 objects from Pano Dikomo, Cyprus (5 vases, 4 bronze).

1957

John Bowman acquires 4 Egyptian antiquities from the Metropolitan Museum of New York.
Professor Hunt purchases Bell Krater (MUV 21), on the advice of A.D. Trendall.

1960

18 objects from Jericho.

1960-75

John Martyn builds a collection of 18 medieval manuscripts to teach palaeography.

1961

Professor T.B.L. Webster donates MUV 23 in gratitude for hospitality.

1968

John Bowman purchases 18 mostly Egyptian objects from the Royal Ontario Museum and acquires 16 from Tell Michal.
Silver coin of Ptolemy 1 donated by D Kilburn.

Sicilian Terracotta Bust (MU 21).
Gift of finger ring (MU 28) from G.H. Gellie.

Norman MacGeorge donates 4 lamps, a Roman brick and a head.
William Culican donates Roman brooch and terra sigillata.

Two neck amphoras purchased from Kyancutta Museum; hydria and aryballos (P. Connor).

Vizard Foundation loan of 66 antiquities.

1997

15 objects, mostly Iranian, on loan from Neil Taylor Collection.
18 antiquities on loan from Adams family.

1998

Column krater, donated by Classical Association of Victoria in memory of Peter Connor.

The Collections also include another 20 ceramic objects from Madrash (?), 15 from Aphek, ivories from Nimrud, 92 Near Eastern and 10 Classical casts, 109 electrotype coins mounted on pins, 45 pieces of terra sigillata, 168 Near Eastern manuscripts and early books in a variety of languages, various bronzes and a number of other pieces. In sum, at 10 October 1999 there were:
